Step 2: Specify Search Criteria
In Map View, the Listings tab is where you specify all other criteria for your property search. You can enter as little or as much information here as you like. The more you enter, the more specific your search will be.Note: In List View, this is done on the Criteria tab.
In this example, we are searching for properties that meet the following criteria:
- Listing price at or below $400,000
- Two or more bedrooms
- Single- and Multi-family residences
- At least 2,000 square feet in size
- Listed in the last seven days
- Views
To specify search criteria:
- To the right of the map, locate the Listings tab.
- Ensure that By Property Criteria is selected.
- Specify your maximum price and minimum bedroom count:
- Locate the price, bed, and bath criteria.
- Click the No Max Price list and then select $400,000.
- Click the 0+ Beds list and then select 2+ Beds.
- Click More Options.
- Specify the property types to search:
- Locate the property types.
- Select Residential and Multi-Family, as shown here.
(To add or remove a checkmark, click the checkbox.) - Specify your minimum square footage:
- Locate the Square Feet field.
- Type 2000 in the left box. By leaving the right box blank, you are saying "2,000 square feet and greater".
- Limit your search to only properties with views:
- Locate the property descriptions.
- Select Views.
- Limit your search to new listings:
- Locate the new listings field:
- Type 7 in the box.
- Click
. - On the map, the blue status bar briefly appears and tells you what search processes are taking place.
- On the Listings tab, the number of matches updates, indicating how many properties match your latest location and search criteria.
