Working with Location Boundaries

Location BoundaryWhen you start your search on the Windermere.com home page and choose View results as: Map, the map appears with a boundary drawn around the location that you specified (according to the latest geopolitical mapping data). In addition, your search results are limited to only properties with that location in their listing details.

Note: The location boundary on the map is based on the latest geopolitial mapping data, and the location of a listing is based on the first-hand knowledge of the home owner and real estate agent. As a result, you will sometimes see pushpins on the map that fall outside the boundary. This is intentional, as Windermere wants your search results to include all relevant listings.

You can hide and redisplay the boundary line without changing your search results. You can also remove the boundary and rerun your search without that location limitation.

To hide or show the boundary:
  1. At the top of the map, locate the red message box.
    Red Message Box
  2. Click Hide Location Boundary. The pushpins stay as they were and the boundary disappears. The link you just clicked changes to Show Location Boundary.
  3. To redisplay the boundary, click Show Location Boundary.
The pushpins stay as they were and the boundary reappears.
To remove the boundary limitation altogether:
  1. At the top of the map, locate the red message box.
    Red Message Box
  2. Click Remove Boundary and Show All Listings. The boundary disappears and your search is rerun without that location limitation. The location of your search is now defined by the entire rectangle of the map.
